The Liberty Music Boosters Association (LMBA) is a passionate, community-driven 501(c)(3) non-profit organization made up of dedicated parents, family members, local business partners, and community advocates. Our shared mission is to champion the performing arts in Powell by providing unwavering support to the Olentangy Liberty High School and its feeder middle school music programs. We believe that music education is a fundamental part of student development, and our members work tirelessly alongside our talented directors to ensure every student musician has the resources they need to thrive. Whether it's organizing community events, moving pit equipment, fitting uniforms, or running the concession stands on a Friday night, our booster members are the driving force behind the scenes of every spectacular performance.

Beyond countless volunteer hours, the LMBA is a financial powerhouse for the district’s music programs, raising and distributing critical funds that bridge the gap between standard district budgets and the true cost of a world-class music education. We heavily subsidize the programs so that the financial burden doesn't fall entirely on our music families. Every dollar raised through booster memberships, corporate sponsorships, and community fundraisers gets poured directly back into the students. We provide immense financial backing to purchase and maintain high-quality instruments, outfit students in pristine marching and concert uniforms, acquire new sheet music, and fund travel for once-in-a-lifetime performance opportunities. When the ensembles need specialized guest clinicians, masterclasses, or professional accompanists to take their performances to the next level, the Boosters are there to foot the bill, ensuring an unparalleled educational experience.

Crucially, our massive financial and logistical support does not just start at the high school level—we are deeply invested in the foundation of our music community. The LMBA is incredibly proud to dedicate substantial funding and resources directly to the 7th and 8th grade bands, choirs, and orchestras at both Liberty Middle School and Hyatts Middle School. By heavily funding these younger ensembles, we ensure they have access to the same top-tier sheet music, vital instrument repairs, and essential classroom needs as the high schoolers. We view this as a crucial investment in the future of the Olentangy Liberty music legacy. By actively supporting our Hyatts and Liberty Middle School directors and young musicians, we guarantee that the pipeline of talent remains strong, inspired, and fully equipped to succeed long before they even step foot into the high school music wing.
